The Fine and Applied Arts Addition is a new 28,000 sq. ft. addition on the Parkland College campus. It consists of two sections being built on opposite sides of the existing Parkland Theater. On the west side of the existing Parkland Theater, a new Visual Arts addition was constructed. This will be the new home for painting, drawing, sculpting, ceramics and sculpture studios as well as woodworking, metalwork/jewelry and forming/casting. On the east side of the existing Parkland Theater, a new Performing Arts building was constructed. The main attraction in this area will be a new Black Box Theater for performing arts events.

  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) utilized for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection using Revit MEP 2013.
  • Chilled water for cooling provided from campus chilled water plant.
  • New hot water condensing boilers.

  • CO2 demand control ventilation in the Performing Arts Wing.
  • Variable speed pumping.
